For over 90 years the Katharine Gibbs Schools have been preparing graduates for rewarding professional careers. Currently, there are nine Katharine Gibbs Schools throughout the Northeastern United States.

Our goals at the Katharine Gibbs School are:
• To provide excellent educational programs that can prepare our students to enter the workforce or continue their education.
• To develop our students' critical thinking, decision-making, and technical skills.
• To teach our students to strive for excellence, and help them develop maturity and responsibility.
• To maintain high standards in curriculum content, technological resources, student performance, and working relationships within the business community.
• To ensure that employers are highly satisfied with the job performance of our Gibbs graduates. Our Educational Philosophy
Our philosophy is to provide quality programs that emphasize the cognitive development of our students, provide hands-on training and courses which are relevant to employers' needs while focusing on strong, long-term employment opportunities. We strive to:
• Continually evaluate and update our educational programs.
• Provide modern facilities and training equipment.
• Select teachers with professional experience in the vocations they teach and possess the ability to motivate and develop students to their greatest potential.
• Provide educational programs that can prepare students to enter the workforce or continue their education. Our Location
The Katharine Gibbs School is located 20 minutes west of center city Philadelphia near the beautiful and historic Valley Forge area in Montgomery County, PA. The School occupies a modern free standing 17,000 square feet building. We have a student lounge complete with vending machines, a learning resource center and bookstore, plus our classrooms are set up for "wireless" technology. The School facility is open Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Students may use any of the School's facilities during these hours. Plus there is parking adjacent to the building. Accreditation, Approvals and Memberships
Our school voluntarily undergoes periodic accrediting evaluations by teams of qualified examiners including subject experts and specialists in occupational education and private school administration. • Accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to award Diplomas and Specialized Associate Degrees.
• Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools.
• Eligible institution to participate under the Federal Stafford Loan Program (FSL) and Federal Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (FPLUS).
• Eligible institution to participate under Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), and Federal Pell Grant.
• Member of the King of Prussia and Montgomery County Area Chamber of Commerce. |
